Yoga Therapy for Emotional Awareness & Balance

In this 2-hour workshop, participants will connect to where and how they experience emotions and how these emotions impact layers of being (body, breath, energy, mind, and spirit). Through a meditative body scan, participants journey through the body, pausing periodically to illustrate and quietly reflect on their awareness as it relates to these emotions.

We will begin with gentle stretches to release tension, followed by the guided meditation. Participants can lie in resting pose (savasana) or sit on the floor or in a chair for this class.

Participants will keep their illustrations and reflections to gain further insight after the session.

  • 6 participant maximum
  • Dress comfortably
  • Art supplies (Paper, Colored Markers, Pens/Pencils, etc.) are provided. But if you have favorite art supplies, you are welcome to bring your own!
  • Props (bolsters, blocks, blankets) are provided. Mats and chairs are also available.
  • Participants will complete a brief electronic assessment before and after the session.
